Introducing ElectroStrainer Pro: The Next-Gen Marine Growth Prevention System

ElectroSea®, the leader in marine growth prevention solutions, recently announced the launch of their next-generation system, the ElectroStrainer® Pro. This innovative system replaces their proven ElectroStrainer system, offering boaters a better experience.

“Our goal with ElectroStrainer Pro was to create an even more user-friendly and effective solution for boaters,” said Daniel Cosentino, CEO at ElectroSea. “By building an all-in-one system and adding the Remote Display, we’ve made it easier than ever to manage your marine growth prevention and ensure optimal performance.”

ElectroStrainer Pro retains all the core benefits that made the award-winning ElectroStrainer a success. ElectroStrainer Pro is a revolutionary system that prevents barnacles and marine growth from forming in your boat’s seawater circuit – from the integrated strainer basket to seawater lines. With ElectroStrainer Pro, frequent visits to the engine room to scrub your strainer basket are over, and seawater supply lines remain free and clear of marine growth, ensuring optimal flow rates to air conditioners, chillers, and refrigerators.

All-In-One Design

The innovative ElectroStrainer Pro is an all-in-one, smart biofouling-prevention system with integrated sea strainer for your air conditioning or chiller. ElectroStrainer Pro replaces your existing sea strainer and combines four components:  a smart flow-monitoring system, an innovative biofouling prevention device, a hydrodynamic sea strainer, and a remote display.

Marine Growth Prevention: How it works

ElectroStrainer Pro utilizes ElectroSea’s patented electrochlorination technology to generate a precise, low level of chlorine, effectively preventing barnacles, biofilm, and other marine growth from accumulating in seawater lines, air conditioners, and chillers. This eliminates the need for harsh acid descaling and ensures optimal performance of critical onboard systems.

Real-Time Information at Your Fingertips

Instead of peering through a dirty site glass or opening the strainer and making a mess in your engine room, simply look at ElectroStrainer Pro’s digital display from the helm or comfort of your salon. ElectroStrainer Pro tells you exactly how much seawater is flowing through your seawater system in real time, assuring you it’s protecting your boat’s cooling systems. This level of ease in marine growth prevention keeps your boating experience focused on fun.

Leading the Movement to Maintenance-Free Boating

Unlike traditional sea strainers, which require constant cleaning, ElectroStrainer Pro offers a virtually maintenance-free way to manage your seawater cooling system. If the internal strainer basket needs attention, ElectroStrainer Pro will automatically alert you with its Smart Strainer Flow Alert™ feature. The best part is there’s no scheduled maintenance, no additives and no chemicals required.

Environmentally Friendly, No Additives Required

Continuous, low-level chlorination is a proven anti-fouling treatment that controls the growth of a range of marine organisms, including barnacles and biofilms. At such low levels, chlorine is not harmful to the environment. Chlorine has a very short half-life in seawater with two-thirds decomposing back into common salt (sodium chloride) and water in about one minute. The seawater that exits the boat is not harmful to the environment.

Marine Growth Prevention Is For All Boat Types

ElectroSea’s marine growth prevention products have been operating in oceans all over the world on boats of nearly every type and size, including center consoles, cruisers, sportfishers, sailboats, and superyachts. The ElectroSea global dealer network and large customer base provide exposure to a wide array of challenging marine environments. Time after time, ElectroSea delivers reliable and proven performance.
