Montage Cay: Buying Your Own Slice of the Bahamas
Private islands aren’t exactly in short supply in the Bahamas, but Montage Cay is aiming for a different lane altogether. The first private-island residential venture from Montage Hotels & Resorts, partnering with longtime Bahamian developer Sterling Global Financial, Montage Cay pairs luxury private residences with the services and amenities of a full-service resort and a 47-slip marina that can accommodate yachts up to 100 feet, all set on 53 acres in the Sea of Abaco.

Private-Island Living, Without the Hassle
The pitch is simple: all the privacy of Bahamas real estate and island ownership without the headaches that typically come with it. Owners tap into Montage’s well-known hospitality platform, gaining access to private-island residences complete with concierge-level residential management, dining venues, Spa Montage, family programming, resort pools, racquet courts, and a 47-slip deepwater marina in Abaco capable of accommodating yachts up to 100 feet.
Luxury Residences Designed for Island Life
The residences themselves range from two to six bedrooms, with prices starting at $5.6 million. Buyers can choose turnkey homes or create something more personalized, with options that include private pools, outdoor kitchens, and expansive waterfront entertaining spaces. The island is divided into several residential enclaves, giving each neighborhood its own sense of seclusion while maintaining easy access to resort amenities.
New Marina Villas Put Boaters in the Center
Momentum has been building. Montage Cay recently unveiled its new Marina Villas, a limited collection that expands Abaco island residential offerings following more than $150 million in reported sales. Starting at $9.8 million, the four-bedroom residences are designed with yacht owners and boaters in mind, offering the rare luxury of direct marina access on one side and beachfront living on the other. Each includes a lock-off guest suite, making them equally suited for extended family visits or owners looking for additional flexibility.
A Bahamas Retreat Within Easy Reach of Marsh Harbour
For yacht owners who split time between South Florida and the Bahamas, Montage Cay’s greatest advantage may be its accessibility. It’s remote enough to feel like an escape, yet close enough to Marsh Harbour to turn a weekend getaway into a realistic possibility rather than a logistical challenge. montagecayresidences.com
