The AB Yachts AB 80 runs 54 knots on three MAN V12 diesels and MJP waterjets, and it still finds room for four guest cabins and a garage full of toys. That combination made the 83-foot Italian sport yacht one of the star attractions at the Venice Boat Show this past May.
This AB 80 launched in April 2025 and made its show debut in Venice, where AB Yachts used it to expand its range and reinterpret the brand’s core values in a contemporary key: speed, minimalist design, and technological innovation. Owners can run it as a luxury dayboat or take it on longer cruises — the builder designed it for experiencing the sea in total freedom.

How Fast Is the AB Yachts AB 80?
Composite construction keeps the 25-meter hull light, and three MAN V12 diesels delivering 2,000 horsepower each feed MJP waterjet propulsion. The package produces a top speed of 54 knots and a 45-knot cruise. AB Yachts engineered the ride to stay smooth, quiet, and free of vibration at those speeds, which matters far more on a long offshore run than any top-end number.
Waterjet drive also leaves no props, shafts, or rudders hanging below the hull. The AB 80 draws just 4 feet 5 inches — a real asset for owners who cruise the Bahamas, the Keys, and other skinny-water grounds.
