The show is centered at the Newport Yachting Center and spreads across multiple interconnected waterfront locations, including Perry Mill Wharf, Bannisterโs Wharf, Bowenโs Wharf, Market Square and other harbor venues. Rather than a single exhibition hall, Newport is a walkable network of marinas, wharves and downtown streets.

Whatโs new at the 55th Newport International Boat Show

A New Fishing Village

Early access begins one hour before the general admission gates open, which may be the most valuable perk for shoppers hoping to board popular boats before the crowds arrive.

More Ways to Learn by Doing
Education continues to be a major part of the Newport experience. BoatClass, powered by Freedom Boat Club, offers 90-minute, captain-led on-water training sessions. The show also offers a Docking Workshop focused on close-quarters maneuvering, wind and current, line handling and crew communication.
On land, IYRS School of Technology & Trades presents hands-on Tech Talks covering subjects such as multimeter use and electrical troubleshooting, cable sizing and crimping, and gelcoat repair.
The Cruisers Classroom, presented by the Annapolis School of Seamanship, returns with complimentary seminars covering navigation, weather, marine systems, maintenance, safety, offshore cruising and docking.

Belize 55 Daybridge โ World Premiere
Rivieraโs Belize 55 Daybridge makes its world premiere at Newport, along with the Sedanโs model Newport debut, combining Downeast-inspired styling with Australian practicality and contemporary luxury. Powered by twin Volvo Penta D11 IPS 950 engines, the semi-custom motor yacht offers joystick maneuvering, a full-beam hydraulic swim platform, watersports storage and three staterooms.
The Sedan and Daybridge configurations share the same emphasis on owner customization and extended cruising comfort, while the Daybridge adds an elevated social space and helm with panoramic views.
MJM 38V โ World Premiere
The new MJM 38V brings a contemporary interpretation of the brandโs lightweight, performance-oriented cruising concept to Newport. A sculpted hardtop and electrically controlled forward windows create an open-air helm area when conditions allow, while the enclosed head and cuddy cabin extend the boatโs usefulness beyond a simple day trip.
A vacuum-infused epoxy-composite hull carries a 19.5-degree deadrise, and propulsion comes from twin Mercury Verado V-8 300 hp outboards, with optional 425 hp V-10s. The 38V is engineered to ISO Category B Offshore standards.
Beneteau Flyer 30 โ World Debut
Beneteauโs new Flyer 30 is designed for boaters who want the sociability of a dayboat with the capability to venture beyond protected waters. Its patented stepped, ventilated tunnel hull is paired with twin outboards and a 210-gallon fuel tank.
The single-level deck features a wraparound bow lounge, flexible aft seating, a three-seat helm, wet bar and an interior space with head facilities. The Flyer 30 makes its debut at Newport before continuing to Fort Lauderdale and Dรผsseldorf.
Hunt Ocean 56 Flybridge โ Newport Debut
The all-new Hunt Ocean 56 Flybridge expands Huntโs Ocean Series with a spacious upper deck and the brandโs signature Deep-V hull. Designed for extended cruising and entertaining, the 56 combines two staterooms, two heads, a lower lounge and galley with a flybridge rarely seen on a yacht of this size.
Huntโs Deep-V hull is engineered for the soft, stable and dry ride associated with the builderโs coastal cruising boats. The Ocean 56 is also available in a Sedan configuration.
A Rare Chance to Compare Trawlers
For anyone shopping the trawler and long-range-cruiser market, Newport offers an unusually convenient comparison opportunity.
The showโs dedicated Trawlers category includes Beneteau Swift Trawler, Nordhavn, North Pacific, Outer Reef and Ranger Tug. Several of those brands are concentrated around the northern docks, with Nordhavn at N-0W, North Pacific and Outer Reef at N-0E, and Beneteauโs Swift Trawler nearby.

Another practical seminar,ย Marine Weather, covers forecasting tools, weather applications, go/no-go decisions and heavy-weather tactics.
For fall migration, these sessions are particularly timely. A successful passage south depends on more than following a calendar; changing fronts, wind shifts and weather windows all influence when it is safe to leave and how to plan the route.

Docking De-Stressed, taught by Captain John Martino of the Annapolis School of Seamanship, covers situational awareness, wind and current, line handling, crew communication and close-quarters maneuvering.
Those skills become increasingly valuable during a coastal migration, when unfamiliar marinas and tidal currents can make arrival more challenging than the open-water portion of a trip.

BoatClass offers another opportunity to learn outside the classroom, with captain-led, 90-minute on-water training sessions. Registration is recommended, and sessions cost $199, including show admission. IYRS Tech Talks cost $125 and also include admission.
Getting There and Planning Your Visit
Newport parking can be the biggest logistical challenge during show weekend. Eastonโs Beach, at 175 Memorial Boulevard, offers parking with continuous shuttle service to the show entrance. The shuttle runs approximately 1.6 miles between the lot and downtown.
Ferry service from Providence and Jamestown is another option for avoiding traffic, with drop-off at Perrotti Park, a short walk from the show.
If youโre arriving by boat, plan well ahead. Transient dockage in Newport Harbor is in high demand during show week.
For lodging, staying downtown puts you within walking distance of the exhibits, restaurants and waterfront. Hotels near the harbor and Newport Yachting Center offer the most convenient access, while areas around Bellevue Avenue and the historic downtown provide additional options within walking distance.
Is the VIP Ticket Worth It?
For serious boat shoppers, Windward VIPโs early admission may justify the added cost. Entering one hour before the general public provides a quieter opportunity to board boats, meet representatives and get through appointments before the busiest crowds arrive.
The loungeโs food, beverages and waterfront seating are nice extras, but early access is the real value.
For casual browsers who plan to spend only a few hours wandering the docks, general admission is probably sufficient. But for anyone attending with a shopping list, multiple appointments or limited time, VIP access can make the day considerably easier.
Plan Before You Arrive
Newport rewards a plan. Pick three must-see areas, identify the boats you want to board, register for at least one educational session and arrange parking before you drive in.
The show may be best known for its boats, but the 55th edition offers more reasons than ever to attend: new fishing experiences, expanded brokerage shopping, world-premiere yachts and practical instruction for the cruising season ahead.
