The launch of the World Cat 280DC-X center console (27’6″ LOA, 9’2″ beam) changes the traditional monohull yacht owner’s perception of how a catamaran looks and performs. The 280DC-X is evidence of a more modern approach while highlighting the advantages of owning and operating a cat. A revolutionary new feature with the 280DC-X is an innovative, frameless glass windshield that World Cat engineered to create a seamless viewing experience and maximized visibility.

Adding sophistication to the overall deck layout, the World Cat 280DC-Xmodel showcases a fiberglass top with surfboard-edge and powder-coated frame and an ergonomically designed console with a stitched, matte vinyl top for better visibility in bright light. The fiberglass-lined head runs deeper than most heads in a boat this size, and deluxe bow seating accommodates six adults. Abundant storage includes a step-in closet in the starboard bow with room for scuba tanks and more.

The cockpit showcases a double-wide seat that converts from a front to the rear-facing arrangement, and a walk-through transom with a latched door provides safe, easy access to the On-Ramp swim platform/ ladder. Powered by twin Yamaha 200-hp outboard engines, the boat runs to a top speed of 49 mph.
