Schaefer Yachts celebrates 32 years this November with more than 4,000 sport boats and yachts plying waters around the globe. From the humble beginnings of building sailboats, Marcio Schaefer has guided the growth of his brand that ranges from 33 feet to 83 feet in lenght. As one of Brazil’s largest yacht manufacturers, Schaefer Yachts builds all the parts for its boats in house with a unique five-axis CNC milling machine, its own carpentry and upholstery processes, and a hull built by vacuum infusion. The latest in the line is the Schaefer V44.

About the Schaefer V44
This model is a sport boat, which can tow skiers, wakeboarders, tubers, and the like, with propulsion options for triple Mercury 400 or 600 outboards, or an inboard sterndrive, or IPS drives, but when it’s time to take a break, the layout is designed for enjoyment and relaxation. “We wanted to build a boat that has one single level, we want to have a high gunwale, we want to have a proper bathroom and a proper cabin where you can sleep two people comfortably overnight,” says Nils Kah, CEO of Schaefer Yachts U.S. “We want to have a fast, sturdy, nice riding, beautiful boat.”
The V44 is a large boat that can accommodate a lot of people for entertainment, yet you have a cabin that sleeps four and has a proper galley and a proper bathroom with a separate shower. In fact, the cabin has six feet, three inches of headroom.

On deck, from the bow to the stern, there is versatility in seating. The bow has lounge seating with headrests and underneath, a hatch opens to allow fresh air to flow into the cabin below. The helm has a separate captain’s seat with a bench seat beside it, all with flip-up bolsters, and the aft deck has a multitude of options with backrests that adjust to face forward or aft as well as fold to create a headrest when lying on the huge sunbed.
