The 90 also introduces the HattCON ship management system that integrates navigation, monitoring and automation systems into a touchscreen. Prestige Yachts debuts 520 and 460S models

It’s hard to believe the new Prestige 520 (52′ 9″ LOA, 14′ 9″ beam) is only 52 feet. A full flybridge, pop-up lounge chairs on the foredeck, oversized swim platform, integrated passerelle, tender garage, and private entrance to a large owner’s cabin are a few of the features that belie her size.

Prestige Yachts other debut is the sporty 460 S (46′ 10″ LOA, 13′ 11″ beam), which shows the builder’s emphasis on flexible spaces: The main deck can be a protected living area, or by opening the large sunroof and vast aft sliding glass door, it can be part of the outdoors. Cruisers’ Cantius 42

The seventh addition to Cruisers’ Cantius line is packed with the features that make this series so livable and stylish. The new Cantius 42 ’s (43′ LOA, 13′ 8″ beam) salon is crowned with an opening sunroof. With the wide salon door open, the space flows into the ample L-shaped cockpit seating. At the bow, the foredeck sunpad features a chaise lounge that converts to a seating area with table, and aft offers a barbecue at the transom. The two-stateroom, two-head cabin includes a master with a private head. All of this is powered by Volvo Penta IPS 500 drives.

Canados Gladiator

Designed by Marco Casali as a luxurious day-cruiser, the Canados Gladiator 428 (42′ 9″ LOA, 13′ 9″ beam) may be the smallest option from the custom Italian yard, but it has big-boat DNA. Clean, minimalist lines prevail with a single level extending from the swim platform to the cabin door. A carbon-fiber hardtop shades the extensive outdoor area, while inside, the cabin can be custom-designed. The standard electronics package includes a “crystal cockpit” integrated dashboard, which is a touchscreen that handles all boat systems. A highly flared bow ensures a dry ride, even when speeds reach their max—37 to 55 knots, depending on the power option chosen.

Jupiter 25 Boca Grande

For its new Jupiter Boca Grande Edition (26′ 1″ LOA, 8′ 6″ beam), Jupiter started with the amenities of a traditional bay boat then added more functionality with higher gunwales, flush deck, tournament livewell, and the storage capacity of larger center consoles.

The Jupiter Boca Grande features a carbon fiber laminate construction throughout to reduce weight for skinny water accessibility and offshore durability. Teak adorns the cockpit, complementing the black acrylic glass panel console which includes triple flush-mounted Garmin 7610 screens. Formula 430

The latest from Formula, the 430 All Sport Crossover (43′ LOA, 12′ beam), is a study in space utilization. Designed using what Formula calls the “SmartZone” concept, there are separate activity areas for almost anything one would want to do on the water.

From the roomy swim platform with fold-down seat to the bow lounge featuring electrically actuated tables with filler cushions, each space is used to the max while showing great versatility. Features include cockpit air conditioning, motorized glass sunroof, 55-gallon livewell that doubles as dive tank storage, an outdoor galley, and no less than 32 drink holders. The cabin below has berths for four, another galley and a head. Quad Mercury 300 Verado outboards come standard.

Ranger Tugs

This isn’t your father’s tugboat. It’s the next-generation of Ranger tugs.

As the latest of the next-generation Ranger Tugs, the 2018 R-27 (27′ LOA, 8′ 6″ beam) follows the design cues of her big sister, the R-29S, with a curved front window and overhead glass atrium that brighten the interior. It offers a fast, dry ride, courtesy of a single Yahama F300 outboard making it the second Ranger Tug model to look outside the hull for power. A bow thruster comes standard to ease docking. MJM 43z

MJM is tapping into the allure of the outboard market citing easier maintenance, advances in technology and controls, better performance, quiet running, and less risk of damage in a grounding. This has led to the 35z (37′ 11″ LOA, 11′ beam) and MJM 43z (46′ 3.5″ LOA, 12′ beam) powered by Mercury eradoV outboards. The new models combine 50 mph performance with all-weather family boating.

Joystick docking with GPS station-keeping eases maneuvering. Options include a full-length bimini and a Seakeeper gyrostabilizer. Both models feature hulls designed by Zurn Yacht Design with a modified deep-V and long waterline.

Vicem V46

The V46 IPS (46′ LOA, 14′ 9″ beam) built in fiberglass represents a departure for the experienced cold-molded Turkish builder. Behind the classic exterior, Vicem designers set out to create a comfortable and luminous interior. The lounge flows into the cockpit when the sliding door is open, and the lower deck benefits from the petite IPS drives for which the model gets its name.

These allowed for a smaller engine room, hence, more space for the two- or three-cabin layout. The deep-V hard chine hull moves through the water at close to 30 knots with the 435-hp Volvo Penta IPS 600s wide open, but what impressed most at sea trials was the level of quiet; at 25 knots just 62 decibels were detected.

Jarrett Bay

Jarrett Bay, the custom sportfish builder, shows off its biggest and most advanced creation, Jaruco (formerly Project Ireland, 90′ LOA, 22′ 6″ beam), in Fort Lauderdale. Built to ABS class standards, the flagship project was led by an owner with long-distance dreams who pushed the envelope for the ultimate in safety and efficiency. Carrying 4,400 gallons of fuel, she’ll be able to go far and fast with 2,600-hp 16-cylinder MTUs that propel her into the mid-40s.

Lightweight construction helps in this endeavor: carbon fiber stringerss and bulkheads, titanium shafts and ultra-thin marble veneer flooring. Six staterooms are incorporated, including a full-beam master and two separate crew quarters, and the finish throughout is impeccable.

Azimut Grande 27 Metri

Azimut will bring 20 models, with 2 being debuts in America: the S7 (shown above) and Grande 27 Metri, both with the sporty aggressive style that Stefano Righini draws so well. The S7 (69′ 11″ LOA, 17′ 5″ beam) has an innovative interior designed by Francesco Guida in his first project for Azimut. He had plenty of space to work with since building the superstructure in lightweight carbon fiber allowed the volume to be pushed to the max without increasing overall weight.

Triple 800-hp Volvo Penta IPS drives offer a 35-knot top speed and joystick-controlled maneuverability. The Grande 27 Metri’s (87′ 10″ LOA, 21′ 7″ beam) elegant interior is by the renowned Achille Salvagni and coined as “the new Italian Renaissance,” offers up to five cabins— with a main deck owner’s suite—and offers the biggest living areas in the category thanks to carbon fiber construction.

Astondoa

After debuting at the Miami boat show last February, Astondoa’s 66 GLX (67′ 3″ LOA, 17′ 5″ beam) makes its first appearance at FLIBS. Designed for the boat owner moving up in size, the 66 has that coveted extra space but can still be managed easily by an owner-operator.

For greater flexibility, there are crew quarters for two that can double as a guest cabin. Four other guest cabins are incorporated, and big-boat features include a large swim platform and a generous flybridge for entertaining. Standard power comes from Volva Penta IPS 1200s, which top out at 32 knots.

Astondoa’s Americas dealer, G Marine, also will show the revamped 80 GLX flybridge (81′ 8″ LOA, 19′ 7″ beam), which features larger side windows, a reconfigured flybridge and a new interior in warm colors.

Mares Catamaran 47 Outboard Express

The new Mares Catamaran 47 Outboard Express comes powered by four 350-hp Suzuki outboard engines that provide a top speed of more than 50 mph. She cruises at more than 40 mph, and the boat incorporates an integrated foil to give even more performance and fuel efficiency to this already efficient hull design.

Because outboards are so popular now, it was a logical decision for Mares to choose them for this new design. The interior layout includes a master cabin with a king bed and a spacious salon with a large sunroof and two refrigerator-freezers. Three of the eight models Princess will have on display are North American premieres. The V40 (42′ 6″ LOA, 12′ 5″ beam) joins the V Class with dynamic exterior styling and contemporary interior design over a deep-V hull. The newest S Class member is the S60 (62′ 11″ LOA, 16′ beam), featuring a hull optimized to reach 38 knots, generous deck spaces and a tender garage. A sociable main deck arrangement places the galley aft, and below are three staterooms. Finally, the Princess 62 (63′ 5″ LOA, 16′ 6″ beam) takes her place in the fleet.
