Built for America (Cadillac, MI plant + vision)

Highfield Boats, America’s leading RIB brand, has introduced the Escape Series, a new line of fiberglass-hull center console RIBs built in the United States. The first two models, the Escape 650 and Escape 750, debuted in late September during Highfield’s Dealer & Media Day at the company’s factory in Cadillac, Michigan.

“When we opened our plant in Cadillac two years ago, it was with the goal of building RIBs that were both purpose-designed for the U.S. market and made in America,” said Highfield Boats USA President Christophe Lavigne. “The Escape Series, which features fiberglass hulls molded locally, then rigged and outfitted at our Cadillac facility, is the fulfillment of that vision.”

Models & Power (Escape 650 • Escape 750)

The Escape 650 measures 23’6” and is available with a 225hp or 250hp outboard, while the 26’6” Escape 750 is offered with a 250hp or 300hp outboard. With maximum horsepower, both models are projected to reach top speeds in the 50mph range. Each is built on a 26-degree deep-V fiberglass hull and incorporates the capacity, comfort and safety of a RIB.

Design features include optional hardtops, dual helm seats with flip-up bolsters, large dashboards to accommodate multifunction navigation/fish-finder displays, and multiple seating areas. The Escape 650 has a wide aft seat, while the 750 adds a rear-facing seat opposite for conversation. Both models feature forward seating with a sunpad, a cushioned bow step, and generous storage under the console, bow, and rear seats. On the Escape 750, the bow step conceals a standard anchor windlass.
