Eclipse – Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) Preview
The Axopar 29 Cross Cabin (XC) and Sun Top (ST) is a worthy successor to the 28, which has been one of the best sellers for Axopar Boats over the last decade. While the Axopar 29 (28′ 8″ LOA, 9′ 8″ beam) is the same length and slightly wider than the 28-footer, the model feels larger due to a higher freeboard, wider side decks, and a flared bow. Both models have a sliding canvas roof to let sun and fresh air into the cockpit, and Axopar designed a new door with a wider opening on the XT to the wheelhouse and its 360-degree views. Both models share the same foredeck layout with bow seating for eight people. The bow features a full-length sleeping cabin, a head with a sink, and stowage. Mercury Marine is supplying the power, which is available in single or twin outboards. axoparboats.com
