Kush 370 Catamaran Review: Classic Design Meets High-Performance Power

The 2025 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show offered the first close look at Kush Catamarans’ new 370, a 37-foot cat built to challenge preconceived notions of what a high-end catamaran should look and feel like. “When we designed this boat, we set out to do something that had classy lines, like the hull of a boat from the 1930s,” says Todd Epstein, who teamed with fellow marine veteran Hugo Velez to bring more than 60 combined years of boatbuilding experience to the project.

A Fresh Take on Catamaran Design

They began with the hull, intentionally moving away from the boxy silhouettes common in the category. “Most catamarans tend to look lunchboxy,” Epstein explains. “The goal was to draw the boat over and over until we got something that didn’t.” The result is an unmistakably sleek profile, accentuated by custom CNC-machined fiberglass bow rails and handrails reinforced with carbon fiber and finished in black Awlgrip—details that immediately set the 370 apart.

Helm Technology and Performance Power

At the helm, the boat feels equally advanced. The command center features five Garmin displays—two 24-inch, one 16-inch, and two 12-inch screens—yet still maintains excellent sightlines. Cameras, weather, and fishing data are all at the operator’s fingertips. Powered by quad 300-hp outboards, the all-fiberglass, carbon-reinforced cat cruises comfortably around 45 mph and reaches top speeds in the upper 60s. Its substantial weight translates to a confident, smooth ride, naturally leaning into turns without constant trim adjustments.

Built for Fishing, Designed for Comfort

Fishing functionality is everywhere, though the 370 is far from a one-trick pony. Massive 640-quart fish boxes, 38-gallon livewells, abundant rod storage, and easy-access systems are balanced by refined comforts: a proper head with Corian countertop, modular seating for up to 12, a retractable mezzanine seat with built-in cooler, and a walk-through transom that keeps movement aft simple and safe. With a 12-foot beam and 522 gallons of fuel, the Kush 370 is as capable of Bahamas runs as it is entertaining a crowd. It’s all proof that elegance and performance can, indeed, coexist. kushcatamarans.com
