The Everglades 255 cc combines stout construction with high performance that result in an efficient fishing machine. The 255 cc measures 24 feet, 7 inches long (27′ 3″ with engines) and the standard power is twin Yamaha F200 outboards, which push the boat to a top speed of 50 mph. Power options range from a single Yamaha 350 to twin Honda BF200s or Mercury Verado 200s. Built at the Everglades manufacturing facility in Edgewater, Florida, the 255 cc features construction detailing such as powder-coated stainless steel piping, a large hardtop and tempered-glass windows. The forward windshield is built with a wiper-and-washer combo and also lowers electrically. The fully upholstered helm and co-pilot’s seat has an aft-facing bait prep station built into the back as a standard feature, and also standard is a 45-gallon aerated livewell.
Cleats are easy to access but conveniently out of the way so they don’t interfere with fishing—there are pop-up cleats on the bow and amidships, and under gunwale stern cleats port and starboard. Storage is excellent with an 85-gallon fish box in the forward deck and an aft 50-gallon fish box. A head is located below the center console pod and there’s also plenty of space underneath for gear, and there’s also access to the accessory panel for service. Rod storage under the gunwales and a plethora of rocket launchers make the 255 cc ready for hardcore fishing. (877) 902-6287; evergladesboats.com
