When Cruisers Yachts set out to design the VTR, the mission was clear: create a series that embodies adventure, versatility, and comfort without compromise. The all-new 38 VTR and 38 VTR EC are the first to launch in this bold new lineup, and they’re already turning heads with their thoughtful design and smart functionality, featuring a one-level main deck with no steps, abundant headroom throughout, and a safe, high freeboard for added confidence on the water.

“This fleet was designed around our customers,” said Josh Delforge, VP of Operations and Engineering. “They asked for a boat that was stylish, functional, and capable, without compromising comfort. The VTR delivers on all fronts.”

With sleek lines, intelligent layouts, and rugged yet refined performance, the VTR series brings a new spirit to the water — adventure-ready vessels built as much for the journey as the destination.

Designed for Adventure

The 38 VTR and 38 VTR EC were crafted for those who refuse to choose between thrill and comfort. Whether you’re carving through open water, exploring hidden coves, or simply dropping anchor at the sandbar, these yacht-certified vessels adapt to every moment on the water.

The 38 VTR leans into open-air freedom. Its versatile cockpit layouts allow you to configure the space for socializing, dining, or lounging in the sun. An optional aft-facing sunlounge keeps you close to the action, while a fold-down beach door expands your swimming and watersports space instantly. Customize your VTR with a Thule roof rack, rod holders, or a tow bar, and the massive transom storage compartment means you can bring everything — from fishing gear to paddleboards — to fuel your adventures.

For those who want to extend the season, the 38 VTR EC delivers all-weather confidence with its enclosed cockpit. Stay cool on summer days with optional air conditioning or cozy up with heat when the temperature dips, extending your boating season in total comfort. If the weather takes a turn, take shelter without sacrificing panoramic views or your connection to the water.

Features That Set It Apart

What truly separates the VTR series from the competition is how it balances performance, versatility, and lifestyle features that speak to the modern boater.

  • Various Layouts: Choose your VTR deck layout based on how you want to spend your days on the water. The base layout offers wide-open aft space, perfect for flexibility and easy movement. The aft bench option gives you a comfortable place to relax while staying close to the action. For those who love soaking up the sun, the sunlounge with storage provides a spacious spot to stretch out while keeping your gear neatly stowed. And if overnighting or extra privacy is on your list, the sunlounge with aft cabin delivers both comfort and functionality. No matter which layout you choose, the VTR series is designed to fit your lifestyle — so you can create the perfect boating experience, your way.

  • Bold Performance: Engineered with a unique hybrid stepped hull, the VTR delivers a smooth, confident ride in all conditions. With your choice of twin Mercury V8 300hp Verado or twin Mercury V10 400hp, these boats offer precise handling, intuitive joystick piloting, and exhilarating top speeds of up to 50 mph. Whether docking in tight quarters or running across open water, the VTR is smooth, responsive, and thrilling.

  • Family-Friendly Fun: From the starboard-side wet bar with optional electric grill to the expansive bow lounge with speakers and foredeck shade, the VTR is designed for both action and downtime. It’s as easy to grill lunch for the kids as it is to set up for a sunset cruise. Plus, a single level cockpit with deep gunwales gives you peace of mind that everyone is secure.

  • Thoughtful Storage: At 75” long by 72” wide and 24.5” high, the transom storage compartment can handle skis, inflatables, fishing setups, dive gear, and more—everything you need to make the most of your day.

  • Peaceful Accommodations: In the standard forward cabin, a convertible dinette transforms into a spacious berth illuminated by a skylight. The optional sunlounge aft cabin layout gives a secondary space for guests to sleep comfortably aboard. An optional compact fridge and fully equipped head — with shower, sink, and toilet — make overnight stays effortless.

Built on Craftsmanship and Trust

As with every Cruisers Yachts model, the VTR series is proudly crafted in the USA by skilled builders who know that quality is more than skin deep. Every seam, stitch, and surface reflects decades of boatbuilding expertise and a relentless commitment to detail. Premium materials, advanced engineering, and rigorous testing ensure each yacht performs as beautifully as it looks.

The VTR isn’t just built for adventure — it’s built around the way you want to experience the water. With the perfect balance of performance, comfort, and versatility, the 38 VTR and 38 VTR EC make every outing effortless and unforgettable. Discover the VTR difference at cruisersyachts.com/vtr or experience it in person at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, October 29 – November 2.
