Southern Boating Media, a well-established, full-service media company with multi-platform offerings in the marine industry, is looking for a sales representative to identify and work with potential clients to address their advertising needs. The representative will be responsible for acquiring new clients by communicating the benefits of various types of advertising we provide to our customers to help their businesses grow. The representative will develop a healthy working relationship with the client and ensure that they are satisfied with their advertising products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential clients to contact to discuss marketing plans
- Set up meetings with potential clients to present advertising proposal
- Promote and demonstrate advertising products to potential clients
- Develop and sustain strong client relationships through consistent follow-ups
- Attend sales meetings, trade shows, and training as required
- Provide recommendations on suitable advertising designs and best practices
- Maintain client records
- Prepare weekly and monthly prospect and sales reports
- Negotiate contracts with prospective and current clients
- Coordinate sales with the marketing and production staff
Requirements:
- Previous experience in sales
- Understanding the dynamics of a sales process
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with potential clients
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Outgoing and self-motivated
- Competency in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience in CRM applications like Salesforce
