Sportfishermen 45 Feet and Under

Historically, angling was a man’s sport and fishing boats were built primarily as platforms for buddies, baitfish and beer. Over the past decade, however, the growing number of lady anglers, and a growing trend toward bringing the whole family along on fishing trips–and using the fishing boat for family cruising adventures–has stimulated builders to design hybrid models with enhanced creature comforts. Today’s express-style sportfishermen and smaller convertibles have spacious interiors complete with full-service galley, multiple sleeping accommodations and enclosed heads. With the 2008 model year, several have also gained advanced propulsion systems for “greener” performance. But their original mission hasn’t been neglected.
