The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has secured a $1.5 million federal grant to assist the city of Annapolis with its continued renovation of City Dock. The Sport Fish Restoration Boating Infrastructure Grant is the largest Maryland has ever received of its kind, and the maximum allowed under the program. Annapolis will use the money to help rebuild the 700 feet of existing deteriorating bulkhead. This will provide docking space equivalent to 18 transient boat slips and 80 feet of dinghy dock. The city will also replace utility services (power and water) for the slips.
