By Paul Mellinger, Headhunter, Inc., Vice President
After three years of development, Headhunter will roll out their new Tortuga waste handling diaphragm pump at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), held October 31 to November 4, 2013.
The self-priming solids handling pump is based on a simple robust design updated with an advanced glass reinforced non corrosive techno polymer material, and innovative check valve geometry that improves “out of the box “self-priming capability. Powering the pump is a high quality TEFC “Washdown Duty” motor/gearbox combination that provides long-term reliability. With its bullet-proof operation and dry run capability, the Tortuga is a perfect solution for black and gray water transfer applications and even large fish boxes.
VP Paul Mellinger states, “Our design team has put a lot of hard work into development of this pump with long term cycle tests, trial and error experimentation, continuous tweaks in tooling, and a relentless pursuit of performance and reliability, and we are really excited to share this new product with our existing customers and branch out into other applications and new industrial markets.”
Headhunter will have a working demo of the Tortuga Pump along with several other new products at FLIBS Booth #FLBABO-0420.
