Enjoy a glorious blast from the past! Nearly a dozen traditionally-built island schooners and sloops will take to the waters off St. Barths May 3-5 for the 5th West Indies Regatta. The regatta was established to reconnect the islands by traditional sail and promote the art of Caribbean boatbuilding. Nearly every island has its native vessels, however, Carriacou, located just north of and a dependency of Grenada, boasts a two-century-old boatbuilding tradition that continues to this day.
