It also has dive, yacht and sail charters, boat rentals, a diving center, jet-ski rentals, as well as many casual and fine dining options, such as Texas de Brazil and Monty’s Sunset Raw Bar. Marieke van Peer, the marina manager since 2005, raves about its location. “Our guests love the location, it really can’t be beaten,” she says. “Add that to the fact that we are on Government Cut and there are no bridges to navigate and you’ve got a sweet location.”

The marina has been around since the early 1990s and has never stopped adapting to the boating enthusiast’s preferences. “We have a high-speed diesel pump on our fuel dock to help facilitate bulk fuel. We also have a Tarpon Lagoon Dive Shop where you can get your diving certification squared away,” van Peer says. The facility is getting ready to build more lift slips on the south end of the marina. “These are owner operated rather than dry stack where you have to schedule boat access,” she explains.
