Created by award-winning designer Bill Prince, the Voyager 68 brings a new level of efficiency, safety, fine design, luxury and cruising convenience to the serious cruising yacht market. Designed to be operated with or without professional crew, four luxurious staterooms are available below decks, with a fifth private cabin nestled below the aft deck for crew or additional guests. With a beam spanning a full twenty feet, this yacht provides the feel of a much larger yacht, inside and out.
Combined with a carefully-refined hull form specifically tailored to the Caterpillar C-Series engine packages, the Voyager 68 delivers a large-yacht experience with remarkably good economy. At a fast cruising speed of 17 knots, expect to burn 88 gallons per hour with twin Caterpillar C-18 ACERT engines. At a displacement speed of 10.5 knots this yacht is projected to burn just 20 gallons per hour, with a range of around 1,200 nautical miles. Caterpillar C-12 ACERT engines will appeal to those who want maximum range at displacement speeds, and will provide a cruising range at hull speed of up to 1,800 nautical miles.
The Altima Voyager 68 can be customized to each owner’s performance preferences while maintaining excellent numbers. Altima and Bill Prince together turned to workboat heritage for inspiration in blending a rugged design with good looks and confortable, yet spacious interior volume. With a large pilothouse positioned well forward for excellent visibility, a Portuguese bridge and wide, covered side decks, the 68’s main deck offers both practicality along with excellent access, required by serious cruises.
Inside, the Altima 68 continues to provide an exceptional level of efficiency of space and seagoing luxury. The main saloon, like it’s predecessors, is spacious and airy, Altima’s signature touch; the large U-shaped galley with integrated dining bar and picture window is just steps away from the pilothouse.
A private staircase nestled behind the 46-inch television in the saloon leads to one of two foyers below decks; one leading to the walk-in engine room and full-beam master suite, the other leading to the three private staterooms in the forward half of the yacht.
Spanning the full beam midships is the VIP cabin which offers all the amenities of the master suite like a loveseat, en suite head with walk-in shower, and plenty of stowage.
Two additional cabins are forward, one with side-by-side twin berths and the other with an over-and-under twin bunk.
A fifth cabin, suitable for crew, but available for extra guests, is located aft of the engine room and is accessed through a full-height door leading from the swim platform.
The Altima Voyager 68 will debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
