Marlow Voyager 76E LR

This new series of long range cruisers caters to the yachtsman who enjoys cruising in local waters or venturing long distance across the ocean. By slightly reducing wide open throttle capability, lower speed range is significantly enhanced, giving it the ability to cross any ocean nonstop at speeds that are 30 percent greater than full displacement round bottom vessels. Far greater comfort is assured through enhanced form stability, reducing the need for and dependence upon oversized fin or other stabilization. This design eliminates drag in every practical way and utilizes all of the waterline length for unimpeded flow of water along carefully crafted underwater lines. The technological innovations allow far greater stability while centralized weight of large objects (e.g., tankage) creates a low center of gravity and resistance to pitching that is a common result of heavy, full displacement cruisers.
The Voyager boasts nearly seven feet of headroom in her massive machinery spaces with an overall height of under 19 feet to the top of the command bridge. Due to her aircraft construction method, the degree of usable internal volume, liquid capacities, accommodations, and storage have not been approached by any yacht built to date with a similar length.
The new Voyager Series from Marlow—over four years in design and development—breaks new ground for serious cruisers, providing a Bureau Veritas certified “unrestricted navigation” certificate, a status attained by less than one percent of the yachts produced today. marlowyachts.com

Grand Banks 47EU

The next generation of the Heritage Series is gracefully manifested in the 47EU. Highlighted by advances in design, construction and a sophisticated new styling, this Grand Banks boat is an irresistible combination of classic beauty and pure exhilaration. Like her predecessors, the 47EU’s rock solid reliability is complemented by elegant lines and gracious interiors.
What surprises, though, is the assertive power and performance that lies beneath her refined exterior. Push the throttles forward and you’ll soon be nearing 24 knots in steady, quiet comfort, riding smooth and trim atop a new hull form. Enriched by amenities from stem to stern, this popular Heritage model is expertly built for the ultimate cruising experience⎯at any pace you choose to cruise.
The 47 was developed in response to customer demands for a greater turn of speed, so the previous semi-displacement hull (common to the iconic Grand Banks 42) was replaced with a Sparkman & Stevens modified V-hull which, with the maximum engine option, will achieve that 24-knot performance.
As of this writing, hull #99 is currently in production with #100 set for completion in 2012. Considering that hull #1was launched in 2006, that sort of production run is a testament to the popularity of this Grand Banks boat. grandbanks.com

Mochi Craft Dolphin 74 Cruiser

Spacious areas, an innovative layout with total privacy for the owner, make the new Mochi Craft flagship an example of unparalleled formal and functional excellence.
The new Dolphin 74 Cruiser, ideal for lengthy open sea cruises, stands out for unique, innovative features unknown to the Downeast style until now. The new concept for the flybridge, which extends to cover the entire cockpit, features new, open-air spaces in perfect harmony with the elegant lines of the Mochi Craft Dolphin fleet. The main bridge is split into two comfortable, separate areas: lounge and dining. A spacious, isolated galley provides access to the crew area, enabling people on board to move freely from service areas to the garage through the engine room, thus protecting the owner’s privacy. Finally, there is a renewed, extended crew area complete with utility room.
The new Dolphin 74 Cruiser combines the elegant, high-performance shape of the hull—deep-V with variable geometry and an average deadrise of 19-degrees with spray rails—with the typically maritime interiors in which solid teak prevails. On deck, the refined cleats, milled with artisan skill from a single block of steel, and the six colors in which the hull can be chosen confirm a strong vocation for uniqueness.
The Dolphin 74 Cruiser features twin MTU 10V 2000 M92 – power 1381 mhp, or upon request twin MTU 10V 2000 M94 – power 1623 mhp. The more powerful motor can push the Dolphin 74’ Cruiser to a cruising speed of 29 knots and 32 knots at maximum speed.
Moreover, the innovative Mitsubishi Anti-Rolling Gyro System (ARG) gyroscopic stabilizers, exclusive to the Ferretti Group, can be installed on this model. This system provides for a reduction of over 50 percent of the roll caused by wave motion both at sea and at anchor. alliedmarine.com

Nordhavn 63

Just launched this summer, the new Nordhavn 63 is actually an aft wheelhouse version of the N60 with its extended cockpit and boat deck. Looks-wise, however, the new model retains the same salty feel that popularized the Nordhavn 62. For those who love the N62 but have a width restriction at their slip, the N63 may be the perfect choice with its 18-foot beam. While the 63 shares the same hull as the N55/60 designs, an entire new deck and engine room mold have been created for it, providing increased interior volume and added amenities.
Perhaps the greatest attribute of the N63 is realized while stepping through the cockpit door. Not only is this boat incredibly spacious, it exudes luxury. Standard on the 63 is the same raised paneled cherry wood that was ordered on hull #1 of the Expedition Yachtfisher.
The 63 is powered by the John Deere 6081AFM w/M3 rating of 330-hp at 2,300 rpm, which is keel cooled to enable a dry stack exhaust. The transmission is an equally bulletproof ZF ZFW325 with a four-to-one reduction gear. The Nordhavn 63 has a fuel capacity of 2,500 gallons contained in four main tanks and one aluminum day tank holding 31 gallons which gravity feeds from main wing tanks and center tank. As with all Nordhavns a range of at least 3,000 nm is projected. nordhaven.com

Ted Hood Yachts 42 Trawler

Ted Hood is perhaps best known worldwide as the man who founded Hood Sailmakers, which during the 1960s and 1970s was the world’s largest sailmaker. He is also very well known as a successful racing skipper, as the founder of Little Harbor Yachts and as an innovative marine inventor and yacht designer.
Ted has been building and designing large power cruisers for some time now, but his latest achievement is in a smaller package, the new 42 Trawler. Designed for comfort, it has more space for three couples⎯or cruising with children than most 50-foot trawlers. The three large double staterooms all have their own heads with separate showers.
Depending upon an owner’s engine selection, the 42 can achieve speed in excess of 25 knots, but in luxurious, seaworthy comfort. It sports a modern design profile with a traditional “feel,” no doubt due to her pedigree. All of the options you might choose come as standard equipment including twin Arrigoni helm chairs; Tecma electric large bowl toilets with quiet macerator and low water usage; a washer-dryer unit located just inside of the engine room, in addition to a watermaker, generator, a chilled water air system and plenty of storage. tedhoodyachts.com

Beneteau Swift Trawler 44

The folks at Beneteau build their Swift Trawlers with one overriding design aspect in mind: fuel economy. And their new 44-foot offering continues that commitment to taking you farther on less fuel. For instance, equipped with a pair of Volvo Penta D4 diesels rated at 300-hp, at an idle speed of 1,000 rpm making 5 knots fuel consumption is a stingy 0.6 gallons per hour. But don’t think this gal is a plodder because at WOT she’ll make nearly 25 knots.
With the saloon, galley and bridge all on the same level the boat feels larger than it is, especially thanks to the 44’s wider house and asymmetrical design.
On the boat deck, high rails provide an added level of safety in a seaway, while a relatively shallow draft (3’5″) allows you access to anchorages other boats of her size can’t clear. beneteau.com/motorboats

Ranger Tugs

Although they don’t have quite the waterline length of other trawlers, Ranger Tugs still provide owners with all the comforts necessary for extended cruising, best evidenced by the 30 that recently made an owners group cruise, a 500-mile passage which ended in Desolation Sound, British Columbia.
The R27 continues to be one of the more popular models in the Ranger line-up, a boat that qualifies as a trawler but remains trailerable with it’s 8’6″ beam. Just about all the equipment you’ll need is included as standard equipment including fore-and-aft thrusters, inverter, microwave oven and even a TV/DVD player.
The well-appointed cabin has a midship office with desk and chair, and this space also converts to a berth that sleeps two. The dinette table is on a hydraulic piston that allows for an easy conversion to a berth or lounging area. The spacious front v-berth sleeps two adults and is over 6’5″ in length. rangertugs.com

Coastal Craft 450 IPS

The flagship of the Coastal Craft line, the 450ips, starts with a commercial quality-welded aluminum planing hull that slices through choppy seas at speeds far exceeding the typical cruiser. Featuring the latest in performance propulsion technology, the 450ips is powered by twin Volvo D6-435 high performance diesel engines equipped with Volvo IPS 600 drives, offering a top speed of 32 knots and efficient continuous cruising speeds between 8 and 28 knots. Equally impressive is her fuel efficiency of 1 mile per gallon at 27 knots and near 3 miles per gallon at 8 knots.
An intelligent layout design is complemented by expert woodwork and joinery using the finest cherry wood. The well-equipped saloon and galley are open to the helm, enabling chef, guests and skipper to visit while underway or moored for an evening of fine dining.
Teak and holly floors extend from saloon through the forward master stateroom. The master stateroom is equipped with a queen berth surrounded by cherry cabinets and a private head and separate shower. A guest stateroom located below the saloon features an oversized queen berth and adjacent guest head. The saloon settee also converts to a queen berth, enabling six people to sleep comfortably.
The spacious flybridge is accessed by way of a gentle sloping stainless steel staircase from the aft cockpit. The upper deck offers seating for 10 along with a wet bar and sound system. The extended hardtop is home to the davit crane, dinghy and custom dinghy caulks. The folding radar tower holds a variety of different navigation and entertainment antennas and receivers to make for safe and comfortable passages.
New in 2010, the 450ips can be equipped with the amazing E-plex remote control system allowing all onboard systems to be controlled and monitored remotely from any Internet connection. There’s an app you can use on the iPod touch, iPhone or iPad to connect to your vessel’s E-Plex system.
Coastal Craft encourages buyers to be involved in the planning stages of their new Coastal Craft 450ips to choose finishes, colors and custom features insuring that your new yacht is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that will represent value and a source of pride. coastalcraft.com
