Luhrs 30 Open

New sportfish offers
a wide beam
and many standard features.

The new Luhrs 30 Open is engineered from the bottom up to offer peak performance and sleeping accommodations for four people. Introduced at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October, the 30 Open has an 11-foot, 6-inch beam for stability and is powered by twin Yanmar 260-hp diesel engines, and carries a price of $199,900.

The boat is designed with a Carolina flare for a dry ride and a raised bridge deck with sunshade that offers optimal visibility. The 30 Open comes with a long list of standard features, including fire-extinguishing system, compass, recessed trim tabs, battery charger and custom-welded aluminum tower with hardtop. Walkaround gunwales with a non-skid surface make it easy to move around the boat, and there is superb access to all service points.
Below, the interior combines comfort, versatility and durability into complete package for over-nighting. The cabin is styled with bold vertical-grain cabinetry and stylish gray Corian counter tops. The full galley features a one-burner electric stove, microwave, front-loading refrigerator and a stainless-steel sink with cover.
Dual settees convert easily into four individual berths to provide plenty of sleeping space, and the area is also air-conditioned. Six large rods and reels store in the overhead, and the roomy fully-fiberglassed head comes with shower and plenty of storage.
